Women’s rights group slams CUNY appointee for calling Gaga a ‘slut’

...Women’s rights advocates are attacking Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s appointment of Staten Island conservative James Molinaro to CUNY’s Board of Trustees for once calling pop entertainer Lady Gaga a “slut” and opposing public funding for unwed teen moms.

Cuomo nominated ally Molinaro last December.

But his office requested that a scheduled Senate confirmation vote last month be postponed after some liberal Democrats threatened to grill Molinaro about his controversial views and vote against his selection.

“Mr. Molinaro has demonstrated a callous and uninformed perspective on the real lives of young women,” said Sonia Ossorio, who heads the New York chapter of the National Organization for Women....
