Lots of Muslim female wear it. So does it means wearing Hijab means they are not for freedom??

Are we creating a negative branding for so many of them.

Here is an example of female wearing Hijab. Anything wrong???

On the other hand, it's very wrong to force it on her under threat of punishment by secular or religious authority if she doesn't want to wear it.

But the messaging doing this way is not at all helpful.

I am just looking at a bigger picture.

Let me look for the Turkey incident when Hijab was worn by a Female Parliament Member and they force her not to wear it.

I just fear that Hijab becomes a symbol or women oppression and some idiots do a spin.

Imagine how many way fox news can twist this

But many areas had being very progressive in moving forward.

The question here is more complex as it had being a traditional religious practice.

Basically using it as a symbol of oppression counter the effort of many muslim women fighting to change the more oppressive practice

I am not living in the US. I live in a moderate Muslim country where Hijab is a choice. As long as we can fend of the hardliner Muslim we progress. I am not even a Muslim.

So in my opinion this might be right in your eyes and mine. But the symbolism of this might be more damaging to the progress make in many areas of woman right in the Muslim world.

When the religious party in Iran lose its hold. Change will come. When a country is govern by religious law shit happen. Just make sure US dont go that way.

Some ladies would like to have a choice. It is not about the wearing or the not wearing. It is about having a choice. Up until recently in France it was illegal for women to wear pants. We should not have to be told especially by law, what to wear or what not to wear. Freedom to choose as a man would choose is the issue. There is nothing wrong with the hijab. To treat women like children suppressing them by dictating the clothes they MUST wear is what is wrong.

I am a fully capable adult and should be able to choose. You can do what pleases you. I will never deny you your choice.

I hope you enjoy the feeling of the wind in your hair. It is freedom that rides in the wind.

They are just human beings and it is the traditional culture.

There is more ways to fight for women freedom that using a dress code as a platform.
It is more damaging to the cause.
