Is there a place similar to Mayo Clinic in southern California?

An acquaintance of mine lives in Minnesota and was able to go to Mayo Clinic when she had a hard time getting a diagnosis from her local doctors. Another friend, a local one, is having symptoms that seem to be confusing one doctor after another. Minnesota is a long way off....is there any place like a Mayo Clinic here in southern California?

I just heard it in one of their commercial.

Here is the link: http://www.palomarhealth.org/ContentPage.aspx?nd=32&news=365

Here's a brief summary:

Palomar Health Becomes First California Member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network

12.04.2013
Palomar Health patients now have access to Mayo Clinic expertise close to home

Mayo Clinic today announced Palomar Health, the largest public health care district in California, as the newest member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network. This agreement formalizes a unique relationship between the two institutions that will allow physicians and specialists to collaborate and provide Palomar Health patients with access to Mayo Clinic’s experts and medical resources.

“We are pleased to welcome Palomar Health to the network,” says Wyatt Decker, M.D., Mayo Clinic vice president and CEO of Mayo Clinic in Arizona. “As one of the region’s first and largest health care provider, Palomar Health has a long history of dedication to its community. We know that by working together through the care network we can accelerate the innovative patient care of this enduring institution.”

With today’s announcement, Palomar Health becomes the first California member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network. Mayo Clinic established the network in 2011 to share its knowledge and expertise with physicians and providers interested in working together to enhance the quality of health care for their patients.

Hope this helps!!

They were able to diagnose and treat a heart condition for me that baffled Scripps and Sharp medical in San Diego for 18 months. Diagnosed it in less than a month and had it resolved two months later. Wonderful doctors.
