is to eat wholesome real food that comes from the earth rather than from a laboratory or factory.
Repeated studies have shown that there are way more vital factors in whole food besides the few vitamins they synthesize and put in a pill. More and more studies also show that many vitamins, in their pill form, can do more harm than good. Moral: Eat good food and skip the pills.

and Big Agra does not use natural organic microbe rich soil, it uses chemicals all thru the growing season, which kill off bad and good soil inhabitants.

I live in town with a tiny lot, but I have a strip about 6 feet wide and 40 feet long beside the driveway and garage and I can grow a whole lot of tasty veg in that small space. I have a series of 4x4 raised beds, and behind the garage I have plastic bins for making my own compost.

Last year I froze enough stewed tomatoes to last all winter. In fact I still have 1 pint of last years tomatoes in the freezer. My tomato plants right now are taller than me, and so heavy with fruit I had to reinforce the cages because they were falling over. And that's just 1 4x4 bed, fed with rich compost and boosted with compost tea. A second 4x4 bed keeps me in acorn squash and butternut squash all winter. Potatoes are so easy they take care of themselves, and also provide a bountiful harvest every year.

As hobbies go, there are few more relaxing than puttering in the dirt.

Disclaimer: I'm retired and I live alone, so I only have to provide for myself, and I have all day, every day to get it done. Your mileage may vary.

ON EDIT: Further disclaimer: I eat a whole food, plant based diet. No animal products of any kind.

More people in suburbia need to start turning their front yards into vegetable gardens. As we all know, vegetables can be quite beautiful.

has worked very well for me for a number of years.

FDA supposedly assures they have the same ingredients (I always read the label to be sure), they do what I want to them to do, and they are at least 1/2 off the price of brand name - often much more

(and I agree with the previous post, eat quality non processed food. but i do use a multivitamin plus a vit d)

the vitamins at any chain pharmacy are at least as good as theirs and sometimes better, since the turnover is so much faster.

I don't recommend vitamin pills unless there is a reason, like being on a deficiency diet of some description or being on chemotherapy or other drugs that depress the bone marrow.

iherb.com

A good place to start comparison shopping.
Plus I do not have to pay sales tax and shipping is free on orders above 25.00.
Been using them for over 15 years now, they are fast and reliable.

Free shipping, discount coupons online and you receive your vitamins in 2 or 3 days. All the top brands - my favorites are Allergy Research, Douglas Labs, Carlson and Thorne.
