ACA subsidies/payments for the new year.

Just finished ACA sign up for a family member and the exact same planis a solid 20% higher next year. The overall subsidy is up (albeit because his income is less) but somehow it's still going to be a flat 20% increase. He's not complaining about it, as working health insurance is better than no health insurance.

I can't help to wonder if the insurance companies worked the increase in advance due to the absolute ****ery going on in Washington. To be honest I'm surprised it wasn't jacked up even more than that. 8 years to consider and fix a system they cried was broken and that sick ass cohort of republicans have no fixes. The only thing they have for a system, that would function properly otherwise, is chaos and instability. Chaos that normal Americans are going to pay for.

They haven't even got their economic hit job on the middle class passed yet but Americans are already getting ready for the pinch. It's amazing how a typical middle class family is supposed to get about $1200 in savings from this tax plan and before that garbage even begins it's probably gone for most people right into their health care. At the end of the day these middle class breaks will only allow us to just begin to pay for all of the ways we will pay more for everything in the coming years thanks to republican rule.
