Related: About this forumCan you eat too many eggs?
In Mid-Michigan they are still just about giving them away. Hardly ever go to Wally World, but did today and got 18 large eggs for 79 cents. Mostly shop at Miejers and not much more there. On a low carb/fasting diet so Im eating 4 or 5, at least every day.
Are you finding those prices where you live. These prices have been going on here for over a year.

Plus, eggs are ingredients in lots of other things.

(7,433 posts)the cholesterol in the yolk is countered by the lecithin (an emulsifier) in the albumin. So I never paid attention to warnings and eat a lot of eggs every week and my cholesterol count is below average. I'd wonder, however, what kind of feed the chickens are getting, and how are they living while producing, if you're buying 18 eggs for $0.79. Where I live (western Oregon), I get 20 jumbo eggs from range chickens raised on O.G. feed for 10 bucks. I still think it's a bargain.

Funny how "scientists" funded by some enormously rich special interest group always finds in favor of that group.

1 or 2 scrambled eggs

This tastes so good, I've had to say I can only have it on fasting days.

(32,713 posts)elevated LDL levels in the blood. Simple carbs, not high fat foods is the new culprit.
My LDL levels got pretty high and I lowered it by going on a bacon diet. My doctor about pooped his pants when I told him.
That's just my research, but check it out.

(29,721 posts)and mother got maybe 30 or so chickens. We ate eggs for breakfast lunch and dinner one summer. She made angel food cakes and yellow cakes and we ate eggs in every imaginable dish. I'm 70 and in good health.
