Has anyone here had dental work done in Mexico? Prices here are truly outrageous, IMO. I'm checking our options in Juarez.

(8,445 posts)That's one of my worries. I'm fine with switching dentists because I'm a bit irritated with mine at this point. My last visit they told me that some of the things I had done were covered on some package thing that I had purchased. Apparently someone miscalculated timing because I got an extra bill.
On the other hand, my husband likes his dentist and would like to keep seeing him, but he needs an implant and it's going to be a BIG bill.
Do you think you could find out which clinic your friend visited in Juarez? Thanks for your help.

(42,641 posts)I will ask my friend. We are meeting tomorrow and I will see what information he has.
Please send me a personal message tomorrow as a reminder.
I will do that. I appreciate your help.

(29,205 posts)(including myself) to travel to Naco to visit the dentists there.
They were very professional and spoke perfect English (my Spanish is halting at best) and quite reasonable.
I wouldn't know about other border towns or the situation now 7 years later. Crossing the border now is likely harder (take your passport).

(8,445 posts)Thanks to -45 and repukes I'm concerned about the reception we might get.
I'm actually not concerned about getting satisfactory treatment because I've read so many good reviews. We'll just drive to El Paso, and I've read that some of the clinics in Juarez provide transportation from the hotel to their clinic, so that would be awesome. My husband visited Juarez a lot of years ago and says it's a rough city, but I've never heard about anyone going there for dental work and getting killed.
