Check out this phenomenal health and nutritition website. Short 2 min videos on numerous topics

including prescription drugs, supplements, diseases as well as nutrition.

The site is funded Jesse & Julie Rasch Foundation in partnership with Dr. Michael Greger and its objectives is the funding of research into the role of health and nutrition in the prevention and treatment of disease and to ensure that the research results are appropriately disseminated to the medical profession. The Foundation is also striving to educate the public on the enormous role that health and nutrition play in disease prevention.

The engaging and humorous narrator of the videos is Dr Greger, who "is a physician, author, and internationally recognized speaker on nutrition, food safety, and public health issues. A founding member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, Dr. Greger is licensed as a general practitioner specializing in clinical nutrition. Currently he serves as the Director of Public Health and Animal Agriculture at the Humane Society of the United States. Dr. Greger is a graduate of the Cornell University School of Agriculture and the Tufts University School of Medicine."

Here is Dr Greger talking about the organization and its goals.

If you love dates but avoid them because of their 80% sugar content. Don't avoid them. Dr Greger talks about an Israeli study done last year that stuffed people with dates for a month. What they found is rather amazing.

Who knew that our guts have the densest concentration of bacteria anywhere on Earth? I didn't. In fact gut bacteria is now being considered to be a separate organ.

You can find the more flavorful medjool dates in health food stores or in bulk at Costco, which is how I get them.

I haven't seen halawi dates anywhere but specialty markets and not often there. I wish someone would start importing more of them, they're pretty special.

It's nice someone has done the science. I've always considered my beloved medjools to be fruit flavored candy. Guess I need to rethink that.

I spend a lot of time on the net surfing health news sites and appreciate one as credible and informative as yours. I'm actually amazed I haven't come across it before.
