a bunch of years ago. I have never had any kind of change that I can recall. My diet is odd because of the gastroparesis but since then I have added some things I should not be able to eat and there is no rhyme or reason to it at all. Good luck, maybe you will be the same.

after docs couldn't remove a particular 'stone;' I said remove the whole thing, and have had NO adverse symptoms since then. (Ice cream most summer nights, for dessert.)

over 10 years ago, but stayed overnight. All went well. Absolutely NO fat for 3 weeks, I was told by my doctor. After that - just watch the amount of fat eaten at one time since the liver has to do what the gall bladder used to do. Never had problem with the runs, though. Was so glad to get rid of the pain!

...and he's had no problem. We've been vegetarians for years and don't eat deep fried food which is the usual warning food. He can eat ice cream with no problem.

I’m 9 months out from my GB surgery. Not to be rude, but sometimes that flatulence feels uncontrollable. Dr has told me this could last up to a year. He also reminded me that I had gastric bypass, and that can be hurting as well.
MrsK had hers out years ago, and she had the gas issue as well.

I had hiatal hernia three years ago, now o don’t burp, but do have increased gas.
I person I worked with had gastric bypass and had extreme gas.

We had farting contests.

No doubt about it, fatty foods will cause diarrhea and the removal will be a big factor. Just avoid , as much as possible, any obvious fatty foods like hunks of fat visible on a cut of meat. Ice cream is something I love, but now I confine myself to just a few spoonfuls rather than the pint or 1/2 gallon (yes,I did at one time).

It's not that bad once you get into the rhythm of being aware of fat, grease and fried foods and controlling your intake.

Procedure went well, I went home the same afternoon, Docs told me I could return to normal; no restrictions as far as diet, and I haven’t had any problems at all.
