I'm always worried that I'll come across as sort of snarky. When I'm irritated it usually can be heard in my tone, so I tend to bite my tongue until I can modulate better.

An ophthalmologist’s office would take it into consideration that their patients may have trouble with their vision when demanding these itsy bitsy tedious forms be filled out.

And that a patient such as yourself might be rattled about a diagnosis. I am beyond tired of uncaring robotic medical office personnel.

In medical settings, you really have to be your own advocate, I have found. Maybe if enough people complain about the tedious forms, they’ll do something about it.

My ex hired some guys to help him move his massive amount of stuff out of the house, yard and sheds, and I was astounded at how horribly he was talking to them. I'm surprised someone hasn't retaliated, but at this point I wouldn't know about it anyway.

Karma is paying him back now for the horrid way he has treated people. I have no sympathy for him.

My visit with the retina specialist went well. I got an injection in one eye, and will be going back every four weeks for a little bit.

two weeks. That was about 8 or 9 years ago. Have a big blob floating around. Trying to decide if I want to do that. How uncomfortable are those treatments? Started me again on eye pressure drops. Not too bad yet. Next’ll be cataracts removed in 6 months.

do I agree with you. How is it an ophthalmologist office or retina specialist not realize that these tiny letters and numbers are difficult for many of their patients to see! Pretty much same goes for other doctors as well. I always fill these forms out on my iPad where I am able to enlarge these forms. When it was paper forms I disliked that as well because I have rheumatoid arthritis, so I would have to fill them out a little at a time, if they sent them to me in advance.

Realistically, most people going to see a retina specialist are older. We need bigger print!

Everyone wants their form filled out, and it's the same thing on all of them. I recall when President Obama tried to put through a computerized records system. The Republicans naturally were against it, but I never could figure out why.

My dentist sends some questionnaire prior to every appointment and I never bother with them because it starts with a link and I won't open those on my phone, period. I simply tell them I can't fill it out on my phone and that's usually the end of it.

I would call them and ask for some other format to complete the form, I ask for paper if they really want me to fill it out. I don't do anything on my phone that requires entry of personal info but that's just me.

It was still somewhat annoying because I had to upload my ID and insurance card.

I'm old and can't figure it out so I bring all my info with me and fill out forms when I get there. I usually get the paper form.

A lot of people aren't able to think outside their own little box. Some older folks are very computer savvy. Those who aren't get the short end of the stick, it seems.

Did not have any small text forms to fill out. Eye Docters told me if the lines get wavy call. I called and they had me come in same day. I got first shot in eye and it helped greatly. Been getting shot every 8 weeks or so for almost a year now. Vision ok and doing well.

Mine was dry in both eyes in January. The opthalmologist I saw before going to this specialist told me that it was wet on the outside and could move toward the center at any time. But the retina specialist said one eye was still dry. I need to go every 4 weeks at first, and the intervals will get longer.

I just ditched a customer survey from the auto service department because it asks questions about stuff I don't really care about, and there's no room for an essay. One that thanks the service technicians!

I'll just write a letter and hand it to the service manager next time I am nearby. Guess which goes up on the cork board?

has passed my own lips more than once when frustration over being handed a page of small print text and being told to read through it to see if there are any questions I'd like to ask before I sign it. This has happened to me so many times. No matter how many times bureaucratic functionaries hear that I can't see beyond large objects, it just doesn't penetrate their cement skulls.

It can also go the other way, people who realize I'm blind but assume I'm also deaf and probably quite stupid.

This world is generally intolerant of the handicapped but it is especially hostile to the blind.

When I finally got through to a real person with the cable company recently, they said I could do this or that via chat. I replied that I couldn't see to text, and that I'm likely going blind, and that they were discriminating against blind people. Turns out all I had to do was throw out the "D" word (discrimination) to get results. I'll do it quicker next time if I have to. I really don't want to be a 'Karen", but I also don't want to be frustrated.

Nothing to read, no forms to fill out and staff was very nice.
New doc was all business, not one smile. He is suppose to be good. Hope so.
