Any thoughts on the latest season of Orange is the New Black? ***SPOILERS!!***

There are spoilers below:

I actually thought this season was weaker than last season, although I did like the changing dynamic in the Piper/Alex relationship, even though I think they're both assholes. I loved the backstory on Chang - how interesting! The hate-fucking between Caputo and Fig is pretty weird, and I'm so bummed for Nicky and Sophia. My favorite character remains Poussey.

Any thoughts?

tonight. With Boardwalk Empire done, Orange - as well as waiting for the rest of Mad Men and Homeland - once those are all done, we will be hunting for some new series to relish.

2. Well, if you're looking for a new series, I can't recommend Breaking Bad highly enough.

Not sure if you've seen it, but it's just incredible. And I never imagined I'd want to watch a show about meth heads in Albuquerque, but damn if it isn't the best thing I've ever seen.

Anyway, as far as OITNB, I just couldn't get into it this time. I actually had to force myself to watch the last few episodes, mainly because I wanted to see what happened with Daya's baby.

3. yes, done and we loved it - also Sopranos and Six Feet Under. That gives you a sense of our taste

I would rank them, best to least (relatively speaking), Six Feet, Sopranos, Breaking Bad, In Treatment, then a grouping of Homeland, Orange and Boardwalk. Six Feet Under towers above them all for us, with Sopranos and Breaking just a tad behind but both superb.

If you've not seen it, In Treatment is quite remarkable.

4. I've heard nothing but good things about Six Feet Under. Is it on Netflix?

I'm on vacation this week and could stand a good binge. I'll check out In Treatment, too. Thanks for the tip!

I also loved The Sopranos, and I've debated which was better between that and Br Ba. Although the writing, acting, and directing for each are superb, I have to give a slight edge to Br Ba. This is mainly because I found the characters/situations to be more relate able. I know teachers, and bookeepers, and cops and x-ray techs. I don't know anyone in the Mafia!

Will do so tonight, but I think this is a weaker season. I do love the back stories. Chang is the winner there.

It seems like they ran out of material from the book (haven't read it), and are just winging it this season. I agree about Poussey. She's a complex and likable character. But I like Susanne, too.

6. Yeah, Poussey is complex and likeable, and sweet and vulnerable.

There's something about her that is just so endearing.
