I was never an action comic fan. My speed was Donald Duck. But I like this and I like that JJ is a person first of all, and a super-powered hero second. She seems almost embarrassed by her powers. And, I like that she is a flawed character. I have no idea if these factors are true to the comics, but they make a fine series.

the show is true to the comic version. You're right, she's a person first - I love that she's a woman that happens to have super powers rather than the other way around.

I'd argue her true power is as a survivor and a fighter for victims. She beats the odds and still has time for lunch, even if she's flawed. I absolutely adore her.

I hope Marvel is paying attention, this is what we love. I'm over commercial Disney style heroes.

On edit: For context, Disney bought the rights to the Marvel franchise so there's a lot of speculation about it going too commercial.

They seem to have done alright with Pixar, so who knows.
