one. And I'll want the third drink even more than the second drink. And on and on it will go until stupefication. And then when I wake up, a drink will really help with the hangover, and another, and another, and will help me get back to sleep.... all that because I gave in to having the first drink.

Knowing that you cannot mix a drink and buff toenails at the same time. The 'fantasy' of a snowglobe Christmas was really getting to me.

Dr. Bob discusses "cravings" on the last page of his story. I think it is the second to last paragraph, but not sure...He says that he still has "cravings" but that they pass and that he did not have a drink during that time. Here is one of the founders of AA, and he honestly admits that he still thinks about drinking, at least 3 years after the founding of the program. So we have cravings..I have all kinds of cravings that I do not give in to....I have stated that I am in Overeaters Anonymous...you cannot believe the food cravings I have, but do not act on. And I pace back and forth sometimes dealing with other kinds. If I can get thru these cravings, one second at a time..then, later on I can go on with my day..maybe ....After all , I got today, and that is it. as has been said many times..
....yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery..
