A bit of bad news....

....just found out my wife has liver cancer. She's been ill for the last couple of weeks. Bone scan results not in yet, but they have identified spots on the liver and colon, so far. She had breast cancer 8 yrs ago, and we were hoping it would not return. Still don't know if it is a cancer originating in the liver or a metases of the breast cancer. We're hoping for the latter,as it appears there is a better chance of fighting it.

So, the journey begins. She is a strong woman. She had a family counselling practice for years, helping those with mental or marital problems.

....we'll do what we need to do. She'll have the best of care. We both retired after her bout with breast cancer and decided we were going to spend the rest of our time together. I was only 48 and she was 51. That was the best decision I have ever made. We were lucky to have the resources to do it. We've had a great eight years since then. Don't know what the future holds for us, but we'll face that like we did the breast cancer.....head on. Looks like I'll be a regular here for a while.
