I just had to suffer through getting myself off a minor pain-pill addiction.
I also had to get through the initial period of Zoloft, which sends your anxiety sky-high.
Both were very unpleasant, but at least I could take small amounts of benzos to get me through. Don't do anything you don't want to, and find whatever you can to distract from the weirdness. Chocolate, TV, books, naps, a walk or a little trip somewhere...anything to take your mind off yourself for a bit.
