No one ever comes out here to see us other than my family for the holidays, so I'm glad she is making the effort. I haven't seen her in a year!

(35,732 posts)I'll bet you have a great time. You have me thinking that I would love to see my college roommates from the 70s. Maybe I will settle for a phone call if I can find the number.
This is the first time I've seen you make something other than vegetarian fare.
I picked up some jumbo shrimp from the supermarket this a.m. Not sure what to do with them.
The farmer's market opens down the street for the first time this year. I want to go but I am so well stocked that I really don't need.
Truth is, I just love to food shop.

(22,163 posts)We've always been in touch. She never left her hometown and I lived in six states before coming home to PA in 2007. So we have known each other since 1971. That can't be!! It seems like yesterday.
I only cook meat if we are having company.... I don't eat it....there will be plenty for me to eat besides the chicken. I make the traditional holiday fare when my family comes.

It was great. It's hard to have another couple in such a small space, but they are easy, easy.
We spent a lot of time cooking and eating, too.
Hope your evening goes as well!
