What's for Dinner, Sat., Aug. 27, 2022

Cauliflower crust pizza with all kinds of goodness from my garden: cherry tomatoes, yellow pear tomatoes, green peppers, basil. I'm going to do a base of ricotta mixed with taggiasca black olives, and then put the other ingredients on top. Squash blossoms go on top, too.

Ruffly green lettuce with sesame-ginger vinaigrette. Chopped cucumber and scallion in the salad.

"Just Peachy" kombucha.

Dessert: Ripe pear with toasted five-spice pecans. I do the toasting in the air fryer.

Cold vanilla nut decaf to go with dessert.

I was going to fix a small rack of spare ribs I picked up on sale, but really don't want to fire up the oven tonight. Going to make him a BLT and fries, leftover coleslaw, which thankfully, he says sounds good.

I may eat something later. I dunno.

at cauliflower crust pizza, but I always think that the crust will be soggy.

Anyway, tonights supper is: chingri tikka masala (shrimp in tomato fenugreek sauce), basmati rice, kakdi koshimbir (Indian cucumber salad), and homemade naan! Great meal on a chilly, rainy evening.

I saute onions and garlic, then add chopped zucchini and tomatoes, sliced black olives and canneli beans, herbs. We call it pasta fazool, though it isn't what most people think of as pasta fazool. To go with, there's garlic bread, and a crisp with plums and one little pear.
