looking for something to use to stir and serve soup/stew - regular kitchen spoon is too shallow and doesn't hold enough, ladle is awkward to stir with

and they look like they would do, but they are kind of like measuring cups with big handles

every time I use a regular ladle I think of that post or article. something like "the kitchen spoon you never knew you needed"

what I am remembering (and could be totally wrong!) was something like a regular big metal cooking spoon (handle might be other material) with a basically oval bowl but deeper.

You could take a ladle and carefully bend the handle so it's straight.

was hoping the DU cooks might remember the actual item though. the spoodle and wok ladles are close...

The one for my stainless flatware is sort of shell shaped and larger than my large serving spoons which look just like the other spoons only bigger.

I tried to find a photo but with no luck.
