a cross between a ladle and a serving spoon

I think I saw this item discussed here many years ago. does anyone know what I am talking about? what was it called?

a fairly deep bowl but the handle was not at an angle like a ladle. so logical yet so hard to find. want!

looking for something to use to stir and serve soup/stew - regular kitchen spoon is too shallow and doesn't hold enough, ladle is awkward to stir with

every time I use a regular ladle I think of that post or article. something like "the kitchen spoon you never knew you needed"

what I am remembering (and could be totally wrong!) was something like a regular big metal cooking spoon (handle might be other material) with a basically oval bowl but deeper.

The one for my stainless flatware is sort of shell shaped and larger than my large serving spoons which look just like the other spoons only bigger.

I tried to find a photo but with no luck.
