2 C granulated sugar
1 C brown sugar
1/2 C light Karo
1/2 C milk
1/2 C ground cooked beef
1 t. vanilla
1/2 C chopped nuts
Cook first 6 ingredients together to 238 degrees (soft ball). Cool to 120 degrees. Beat until thick; add vanilla and nuts. Prepare as you do fudge.

I could almost, almost see someone doing this with strips of beef. Not that I would eat that, either.

but not beef. Although yesterday I had some "General's Chicken" with a sauce so sweet it may as well have been candied.

and not half bad. That said, there are many flavors of beef jerky including sweet versions. I don't know why.
