It was very rich and very tasty, indeed...!

We had a frozen fruit thingy for dessert--frozen blueberries and pineapple with a little bit of fruit juice ground up in the blender. That was good, too.

maybe you could order stuff online.

I know that Bob's Red Mill is an excellent source and could provide bulgar wheat, chick peas. Maybe falafel mix if you use a mix.

What is the hardest part to find, for you?

and about 20 miles from the nearest grocery shopping which one can hardly call a decent shopping experience. The tahini for the felafel was the main problem. I found it at a specialty market for $8.00 for a 12 oz. jar and ended up buying it. My sister usually brings me stuff I can't find (she is in Youngstown, OH), but I was out of tahini and really wanted to make felafels this week .

Going to Pgh to see my Mom on Monday, so I will stock up on stuff there. It's a 2 hour drive one way.

Thanks for the tip about Bob's Red Mill

...so at least if you stock up on it, it won't go bad. Last week I was shopping at Trader Joe's and needed tahini. All they have is "tahini sauce" that has other stuff in it. Boo. I hate having to hit multiple stores. I wonder what it would be like to live near a Greek market.

jar she brought me was 24 oz of pure tahini for $7.99 . There is a Trader Joe's about 10 miles from my Mom's place, but I'm with you on the tahini sauce, blah. I remember when Trader Joe's carried the real thing, I think it was Sahara brand - in an orange can. This is going back to the 1980's when I lived in Southern Calif.

....it is within 100 miles local but I think it is a national brand. It is reasonably priced.

My culinary wizard is home and he gets his inspiration from shopping. We shall see what he cooks up tonight!

For lunch, though, he made sandwiches of chicken sausage or hamburger (your choice), raw onion, coriander sauce, tomato, lettuce on flatbreads.
