Soaked the pintos overnight w/ a lot of diced garlic, onion, serrano chilies, some lime, salt.

Soaking rice w/ diced tomatoes, basil, cumin, a bit of cinnamon and salt.

Will finish all and layer beans, rice and cheese on the tortillas. Cubed watermelon on the side.

so, sort of an East meets West result. May add a little curry to the left over rice today.

LOL, talk about hit or miss.

Congrats on the shopping run.

9. I love leftover rice. I can just eat it with some soy sauce and be very happy.

Glad your beans came out ok. Beans and Jasmine rice is a new orleans staple, you know.

And some toast too. Don't want a lot and haven't fixed an omelet in in a while. It sounded good and easy.

I did the chicken "beer can style" but with a stand, and not a beer can. In fact, i didn't use beer. But I used that method.

the garden veggies were some cherry tomatoes, zucchini, some white onion I had left over, yellow bell pepper, a couple taters and broccoli that I added in the last fifteen minutes.

It was excellent.
