What's for Dinner, Wed., March 13, 2024

Chicken couscous salad. Veggies I have mixed in are red and yellow peppers, red onion, yellow crookneck squash, and cucumber. Goat cheese.

Herbs and spices are the usual Italian seasonings (all fresh from my outdoor herb garden except for the basil), paprika, ground coriander, plus salt and black pepper.

Warmed up naan bread.

Pineapple-kiwi kombucha.

Turtle (chocolate, pecans) cheesecake for dessert, along with decaf.

We had two leftover crab cakes so they’ll be topped with poached eggs and Hollandaise sauce. Asparagus spears and mini-potatoes as accompaniments.

Eggs Benedict.

Hollandaise (and Bearnaise) sauce isn’t that hard to make. Just takes a bit of time.

Sorry how UN-'fancy' I am these days, and amazed how 'fancy' I was when first out of college and cooking, in first apartment(s!)

OH MY, now gonna start thinking about THOSE years, that 'segment' of my life! WHY did I ask my mother and aunt for Le Creuset pots/pans, when they asked what I'd like???
