Not sure here...Bill is home tonight, so maybe Chinese.
But....I'm craving butternut squash ravioli, so that may be an option too!
What's for dinner where you are?

(12,253 posts)mashed potatoes, steamed asparagus, full color salad and somee beer biscuits. I'll eat, burp, and pass out on the couch after my footrub. Looking forward to a happy, restful evening. That ravioli sounds awesome, Lucinda!

(146,218 posts)I plan a trip back to NOLA for Jazz Fest this spring and can not wait to eat!
Crawfish Monica, Nachitoches meat pies, jambalaya, chicken/andoullie gumbo, etc, etc.
Enjoy and have one big bite for me, please.

(50,130 posts)How the heck DO you do laundry on the boat??

(146,218 posts)It's the biggest seller of all the booths at Jazz Fest.
While you can find knock off recipes on the web, the originator of the dish sells a kit which they will ship which is perfect and really easy.

Now, as to the laundry. I have a hand crank washer and a spin dryer, then I hand everything out on the rails. I actually love doing it. There is something very renewing about it.
But, my faithful spin dryer (really a water extractor) just fell apart today. It's been a good friend for almost 4 years and it was time to replace it anyway. I just wish it had made it through the day, lol.

(35,667 posts)The resident food genius (not moi ) made the most wonderful sauce for it. It was spicy, it was a little sweet, it was red, and it made me enjoy e-v-e-r-y bite.
There was also a very unusual salad that also had seafood in it. It also had beets and radish.
For dessert, we had quartered figs filled with the most light and heavely almond cake. It was like tres leches, only with almonds.
And lots of white wine.
The conversation went on until well past midnight.
