What's for Dinner ~ Tuesday Nov 6th ~ Election Day Edition!

Bill will be working and I will be on my own and I am not sure what I'll have for dinner yet.
I AM pretty confident about the election results, and am thinking that I may grab a nice pint of ice cream to celebrate with!
Can't drink with my pain medicine. :/

How about you?

since I'll be in front of the tv all day tomorrow anyway, I'll try to keep busy baking bread and processing pumpkins for the freezer.
By morning I'll figure out something appropriately celebratory and labor intensive for dinner

I can't drink either because of damaged kidneys. No champagne tonight.

if i do (and i will be both aggravated and sad if i do), it'll be whatever i can scrounge when i get home. if i don't, i might see about going to my dad's for (probably) roasted chicken and drinks.

All the food is inspired by swing states. The stew has corn(Iowa), tomatoes(Ohio), fake beef(Colorado), and orange(Florida). The cheddar biscuits are for Wisconsin, Virginia, and North Carolina. Apple pie for New Hampshire. There will be various alcoholic beverages to represent Nevada or at least my experiences in Vegas

Oven fried potatoes, broccoli slaw, baked beans and a dinner roll. We're just going to get comfortable and watch the votes break in waves for Obama. It's going to be a great night.

We came through Sandy with luck on our side. 75% of the power was out in our village and we didn't know it for days. Mr. Pup's office was without power for the whole week so he was home and we rode it out together. Yesterday's Nor'easter left us with about 4-5" of early snow and there are still green leaves on the trees! We were well stocked and well prepared--other than that just lucky, lucky, lucky!
