Dessert wine and almond biscotti.

bangers and mash , and corn .
Shrimp and asparagus are so nice together. Biscotti is always a crunchy way to end a good meal.

(146,218 posts)I made some really bad steak tacos last night. The meat was just not good, a common problem over here.
OTOH, I ate a whole bunch of cheese, because I just got my shipment.
Maybe a wrap with tuna salad? I've got a cabbage, too, so maybe slaw.
I was going to roast a chicken but didn't get one, so that's out.
I just don't know.

Actually, that was lunch. I'm having wine for dinner tonight. And nothing else.

(24,380 posts)I still have what is about a fist sized hunk of that roast beef I did. I have been on the road most of the week, but got two dinners and slices for sandwiches out of the roast, but now I still have that hunk left.
Ideas?
Cube it up and make a beef stew?
You guys think it will freeze? Or should I cook it up in some fashion first? I've never tried freezing a hunk of medium rare beef.
First thing that comes to mind is like goulash or perhaps stroganoff, but it's already cooked, so I don't want to ruin a new dish.

(146,218 posts)Just put the meat in at the end to warm it without recooking it.
I have also frozen rare meat and it's been ok.

(9,791 posts)DH was cleaning up snow all morning and was totally wiped out. I went to the butcher shop for a porketta roast so I picked up some ground chuck for fresh burgers for supper. The porketta will be in the crock pot tomorrow night for Monday's dinner.
