Thank you for the hearts! - though I feel

very guilty seeing them. You are very kind to think of me.
I haven't been here with you all as much as I would like and that makes me feel guilty seeing them... They are much appreciated though. ? I hope you are all happy and healthy!

For those interested on the medical front:
I left a ton of blood at my docs office for testing a couple of days ago, and we are scheduling a sleep apnea test soon. All my little weird health issues are flaring at the same time and I'm crazy/sleepy 24/7 so my doc is rechecking everything. I hate the idea of having to sleep with one of those Darth Vader gizmos just to sleep, but if it makes me feel better and actually GET better, I'll do it.

I'd even take a complicated solution, if it gets me answers. Hope all is well with you!
I know the major big snow is above you, but are you expecting any?

and the temps are coming up. Although the weather reporter tonight said it was vey cold, during the day we are expectng high30-mid40 temps during the coming week. The sun was out strong this afternoon and melted a lot off. This snow-one-day-and gone-the-next is like what happens in the South. Around here snow used to hang around for months without a significant melt. All is well in our village.

so I can relate. Still better than being a California girl who never saw any! So I'll take what I can get.
All we are seeing out of these systems lately is rain and wind. Lots of wind.

They came along with dozers and dump trucks to sweep the street on Monday morning. Looked as if they were moving glaciers. Yesterday the water started flowing and I think we'll get more of that today, but tomorrow night more snow. I love having snow as long as I don't have to travel somewhere. The wind hurts my ears! Did you guys move?

I've gotten to critical mass on the effects of sleeping problems. It's a killer. Use that machine all you can. It works wonders on people of all ages and conditions. Have you tried that ambient screen lighting app?

It's made a big difference in resetting my sleep clock and helped other DUers. It's a free application. One of our DUers put the link in a thread. It makes the screen match the proper light level for day and night. It eliminated the blue light of the electronics that works for wakefulness in the day but keeps us going at night.

I thought someone was kidding when they said it made them feel sleepy. I didn't believe it, but it immediately made me yawn. You know how that feels when you are not sleepy and on the computer - it prevents that wakefulness. It has all the instructions you need on the thread itself - be sure to read them.

Give it a try. It's safe:

14. Thank you for the link! I don't have my consultation with the sleep doc until early next month

and I'm not sure when they will schedule the study after that. So I have a while to wait to see if it's part of my problem.

Thanks again for the link, I'll check it out!

3. I had one of those sleep studies and it turned out I didn't have sleep apnea at all!

I could have sworn I did, but the tester said "no apnea."

Maybe you'll find you don't have it either!

False alarm on my part. I do snore on occasion, tho, so I might have confused snoring with apnea.

I'm glad it wasn't apnea for you, but I'm sorry that you didn't get an answer to the problem.

tho I am not terribly overweight. I guess even being a bit overweight poses a risk...

It's funny (not haha funny, just a little strange) that hubby and I read this guy's obituary in our local paper about a year later. We remembered his name...

but very, very good things to say about it.

He sleeps better. I sleep better. He has more energy and stopped sleeping during the day. He rarely ever pulls it off at night and never complains about it.
