either chili and cornbread or pasta with red sauce and some no-knead

edit: decided on a three bean chili and cornbread tonight and the red sauce tomorrow. i found a faster rising no knead, but it's not as good as the overnight.

Made with fresh Florida shrimp and lots of garlic. Rice and roasted asparagus--I'm in heaven.

I coat the potato in vegetable oil, bake, halve, then scoop out enough to blend all the sauteed stuff together. Repack the potato halves, top with some grated cheese, run under the broiler a bit, sprinkle diced chives over it all.

Comfort food.

Made this for lunch. Never had it before, and now I'm a big fan. Delicious with Parmesan and a drizzle of olive oil.

I always crack up at her recipes the way she says good olive oil. Because of course, we would use bad olive oil every chance we got!

I think I'll try this one day this week.

But I think it would have been just as good with a mediocre olive oil. By the way, I misspelled it, it's "Ribollita".

and whole-grain horseradish mustard cream reduction along with (presteamed) broccoli caramelized in smoking oil and tossed with catalan arbequina olive oil, cracked pepper and a whiff of idiazabal cheese and smashed yukons with 86% fat cultured butter (Vermont Creamery...if you can buy it do so, it's extraordinarily expensive and even more extraordinarily better).

usually I hate to bring my work home but I feel motivated tonight..
