You folks deep fry EVERYTHING!

Truthfully, these all sound pretty damn nasty, but then, I never was much of a Doritos fan to begin with. Though I will admit to a newly acquired love of Doritos dipped in guacamole. A co-worker brought that in the other day and now I wonder how I survived almost 50 years without knowing about that tasty combo.

and I'm glad that you are aware of the Doritos with guacamole. I've known about that combo for a few years and it's a nice to splurge on occasion.

Iceberg lettuce
black olives
grated cheese
sliced green onions
diced tomatoes
rinsed and drained kidney beans
diced avocado (lots)
pickled jalapenos
roughly crushed doritos
ranch dressing
chili powder
squeeze of fresh lime

toss and eat immediately before the doritos get soggy

(and so are kidney beans)

Could use black beans. Somehow I think chicken would destroy the crunch balance. But to each his/her own!

Gee, now I'm hungry for this!

Black beans are also more of a staple here in Texas so I think that would also be a good substitute. My apologies for getting your stomach growling.

I also agree about having the balance in food textures. It sounds like you would be a great judge on Chopped--find your passion!

beating the heck out of those Doritos. A double winner!

And to think that I put together this thread as a puff-piece.

Thanks for posting. I often put crushed Doritos on my tacos or in my chili.

I just wish that I was getting a kickback from Frito-Lay for promoting their products!

Please enjoy and let me know how it tastes. I'm definitely low-skilled in the kitchen so I'll have to settle for the Doritos Dust instead.
