Not a fan of most pre-made meals but found this at Trader Joe's. Comes in a foil pouch you set in boiling water for ~ 5 minutes. Tasty, with a spicy, not too hot, sauce. Plenty of chickpeas.
Their ingredients label - Chickpeas, tomatoes, onions, sunflower oil, ginger, garlic, coriander, cumin, black pepper, cinnamon, cardamon, olive, green chili, red chili, fennel, turmeric.
Worth a try.

(146,218 posts)I like the spinach with the Indian cheese. Can't remember what it's called, but it's yummy and rich.

(146,218 posts)The first thing I always run out of is produce and I don't like canned and frozen veggies at all.
The second thing is meat.
Right now, I am smack dab in between the two.
Virtually no produce (other than citrus and some rapidly decaying lettuce), but I have frozen chicken breast, sausage, turkey burgers, cheddarwursts, and turkey meatballs. I also have sufficient cheeses.
Now I have to figure out how to make meals out of what I have!

(135,060 posts)With the exception of frozen peas....love them. I also always have frozen leaf spinach on hand. I add it to cheesy grits, omelets, rice, soup, etc.

(146,218 posts)The canned LeSeur peas are the only ones I can barely tolerate. Can't stand frozen spinach.
But those packets of creamy spinach at TJs? Delish!

(135,060 posts)Me, not as much but I eat them when I am there. Luckily probably won't have them since it is summer but it is a staple in the winter up there.

But not that often.
When are you going up?

(135,060 posts)And return August 5. It is going to be a family reunion of sorts since my day's older sister and her kids and spouses are also coming.
