Cool thing happened earlier, but posted this in Coping with Divorce by mistake!

My cook books have been 'missing' since I left our house in '06, and house later sold, so have looked for 'my' James Beard curry sauce recipe on several occasions, as it was a favorite.

Leftover chicken available now, and weekend would be perfect to prepare the chicken w curry sauce daughter likes. Again searched for the recipe, via google, and guess what???!!! I found MY remembered recipe, posted HERE in '09! 'Publishing' it again!

saute cut up onion, celery, garlic (any other aromatic veg too) and apple. Use O Oil or butter or whatever. Bay leaf. Add liquid from can of tomatoes (I use stewed toms, and as necessary I add some of the cut up toms.) Add curry powder to taste (1-3 t.), and salt. Add water if necessary. Stir, etc, and serve with/on whatever, cooked bird (left over chicken/turkey.) I serve with plain yogurt, chutney, raisins and rice.

I mean posting in the wrong forum. Worse is not reading the OP carefully enough and being reminded by the next ten posters just how lousy my sight still is.

However, I've also found a few old favorites online here and there when people have posted them out of out of print cookbooks. That's probably the case with your James Beard cookbook. Few people under 30 know who he was.

My own glee is finding really obscure music on You Tube. However, I'll gladly take the occasional recipe, too.
