Both will be sautéed in butter and Worcestershire. Either corn spritzed liberally with lime juice or mashed potatoes with
cracked black pepper and horseradish.

If it's in stock, I have some Haagen Dazs Dark Chocolate Mint ice cream coming in with a grocery delivery tomorrow.

And the mushrooms sound yummy too.
One of Bill's few flaws is his anti-mushroom stance. I could have them daily and be happy!

Steakhouse Mushrooms & Onions

1 lb button or crimini mushrooms
2 ea Medium sized Sweet onions, Julienne cut
Olive Oil for sautee' ing
To Taste Minced Garlic
To Taste Kosher Salt
To Taste Fresh Ground Pepper

Clean and slice mushrooms. One of those wire egg slicers does this job wonderfully.
To Juienne onions; Peel skin off onion, slice in half from top to bottom, cut off root, place flat side down on cutting board, and slice top to bottom, approximately 1/8 inch thick.

Heat olive oil in heavy pan. (My favorite is a cast iron skillet) saute' onions until translucent, add garlic and saute' approx 1 minute, then add mushroom slices and saute' until done. Salt and pepper to taste.

Put on top of steak before serving. Or just eat as a side.

Option: Tomato slices, cut into sections like an orange, can be added just before mushrooms are done.

I've got a Trader Joe's pizza dough, Italian sausage, tomatoes and mozzarella.

So it's now deep-dish pizza. That's the best I could do with the damn dough.

I usually use their white dough which works out well. But every time I use their herb dough, which I only buy when they're out of the white dough, it turns out a total disaster. The dough falls apart, has holes in it, and is a total mess. I've complained to them several times, and they won't reformulate it. Next time, I'm just going to make my own dough. It's just not that hard to do.

LOL, I'm something of a pizza purist and don't think I'd like herb dough very much. After your description, though, I'll steer clear of it.

I make chicken nuggets from scratch--just pieces of chicken breast breaded and fried. Alongside we're having roasted sweet potatoes, broccoli, and a cucumber-and-tomato salad made with the last of this year's tomatoes.

I've got an excellent butcher prepared meatloaf that I plan to extend with some finely chopped green bell peppers and celery (for added crunch) and basmati cooked in chicken broth.......with 3:1 ketchup:Sriracha glaze.

I'm making that soup Bif posted on the forum today that has chorizos and black beans in it.

Then a big green salad with lots of crunchy green peppers, celery, and cucumbers in it!

Polenta with pepper sauce recipe from Mollie Katzen.

I'm dining late as I already had a sushi appetizer.

cbayer, that salad is to die for! What a combo! Lucky you.

And I laughed at great aunt's frustration with the pizza dough. Hey, nuthin' wrong with a deep dish pizza, I say!
