What's for Dinner, Sat., June 28, 2014

I have this new cookbook with recipes that are arranged by color:

I've chosen kale salad with watermelon radishes, but I don't have this kind of watermelon radish that it calls for. Just regular radish. But look at this shot of a watermelon radish; isn't it gorgeous?

I'm going to shop for seeds to grow this fall.

Another beauty shot:

My kale is red-veined Russian, so this will make a lovely salad!

The common red you see in most groceries are just the tip of the choices. And, a big plus, easy to grow.

I've got a couple of peppers up to size, some left over curried jasmine rice & ground beef and an Indian vegetable mix in tomato sauce.

It's all going in the oven, slow. Then run under the broiler.

Company coming over ad everyone is making something different. I made a smoked almond spread and we have a couple of kinds of crackers, some baby carrots and sliced cukes.

Should be fun!

Mu shu chicken and an egg roll.

I'm not particularly fond of radishes, but those are interesting to look at.
