(35,709 posts)I'm going to search out a recipe for kale chips.
As for dinner, I'm debating. Having a union meeting around dinner hour, but it's at a diner. Don't do diners much. Their food is OK, but I kinda' hate to waste an opportunity for calorie intake with a diner.

(106,886 posts)I get the steamed pot stickers at an Asian market (they sell them just cooked and chilled), brown them up at home.
Quick Asian meal and a whole lot cheaper than take out.

with carrots, spuds, green beans and pearl onions. After browning the flour-coated chuck cubes, I like to deglaze with a red wine. Then simmer the beef in stock and tons o' garlic for about 2.5 hrs, then add the veggies for another 20 mins until tender.
Served with buttered crusty bread...... and beer.
Edit - I added mushrooms, too. What the heck.

(20,234 posts)the kind where you egg/panko the slices and bake them on a cookie sheet, and when they're crisp add a splat of tomato sauce and a mozzarella ball on there and bake some more. (not frying each piece and layering it).
