Cornflake Chicken

Ingredients
1/3 box cornflakes
12 T garlic powder
1 t black pepper
1/2 stick butter
5 pieces chicken legs, skinned and split

Directions
In a plastic bag, crush the cornflakes with a rolling pin. Add garlic powder and pepper. Melt butter, dip chicken pieces in it, roll in cornflake mixture and place on a cookie sheet. Bake in 375° oven for 45 to 50 minutes until nicely browned.

To be honest, I remember my mom making this way back in the 50's. She also made it with potato chips in place of the cornflakes.
