Has anyone done the wall Street Journal wine offer?

It's something line $69 plus shipping for 15 wines. Is it worth it/ Rip-off? Just okay wine? I think I can do better at Costco and Trader Joe's, but I'm curious. I've always subscribed to the theory that if it's too good to be true, it is.

It's really $89.98 when you factor in shipping, or about $6.00 a bottle Auggie Dec 2014 #3

at their web site. Many of them were wines that the RG chooses and pays quite a bit more for at our local super-store for wine. Even factoring in the shipping, it looks like a great deal.

I'd say go for it.

I think the rub might be that they're 2013 wines. Still, I think it's a good deal. Someone like the RG might notice the difference, but I know I wouldn't.

They sound like decent table wines to me. So my guess is it's about a wash if you compare to discounters like Trader Joe's, Cost Plus World Market, or Beverages & More. You won't find a selection like this at Costco.

I think the convenience factor of having them delivered and pre-selected saves you a lot of hassle, so why not try it?
