I'll spice them all up, baste the small bird, etc. But a one roasting pan, simple dinner. Maybe some gravy out of the pan sauce.

And I'm making tomato sauce to go over the top. I'm using fresh tomatoes.

on edit: I forgot to mention that I'm stuffing them with ground beef and sausage.

Between you today and Galileo126 yesterday, I now am craving cornish hens. Have them on this week's grocery list.

Got the game hens on sale this week. One is perfect for a few dishes for me, from dinner to sandwich to salad to carcass soup base.

Same thing's happened to me with carrots.

At least that's how it will start off. I may add some sun dried tomatoes and/or mushrooms to the olive oil.

But jeez - I am so craving the garlic today! Can't wait to get off work.



ps: I used the last of the Cornish hens from the freezer - time to buy another two.

it was finish it or toss it time, and I hate to toss anything edible.

and whatever else is left in the fridge. Oh, there's also some broccoli!!!! Yeah, there's something green.
