Asian cole slaw and mesquite-flavored pork loin in the slow-cooker. When it is finished, I make glaze using hot pepper jelly (equal parts jelly, water, and a few teaspoons of vinegar).
The slaw is made with Napa cabbage, and has sliced yellow and orange peppers, a little grated carrot, and chopped green scallions.

p.s. Fresh raspberries and vanilla yogurt for dessert. Top it with toasted sliced almonds and a few dark chocolate shavings.

(1,451 posts)Never had moose but a dear friend just returned from Alaska and brought us that and some gorgeous salmon. We're saving the salmon for a special dinner. I have to admit the burgers smell great and I'm looking forward to them. I feel kind of Sarah Palin-ish, though

(2,012 posts)a few days ago and made mashed cauliflower. It was good but we had a lot left. I tried to make pancakes but they didn't hold well or taste great. So I pureed it, added chicken broth, a little garlic, onion, and curry and a lot of cheese, came out a delicious soup with a nice color.
