What's for Dinner, Wed., Sept. 23, 2015`

It's going to be one fantastic dinner tonight, as we are celebrating getting the house/property cleaned up for the fall/winter season. All this was done in the last two days--you know, the usual stuff: gutters cleaned out, house painted, windows cleaned, junk hauled away, leaves and weeds wacked and hauled away, dead branches removed. Drains repaired, trees trimmed. We hired two terrific guys to help us.

The RG is cooking, so I don't know what it will be yet, but I am sure it will be good. I will post back later. We are having company; one friend of his, one friend of mine.

Beautiful day in NJ! Sun, temps in low 70s.

and give me a hand?
My gutters have been cleaned and windows washed, but that's about it.

I need a tree taken down as well, but need someone with correct insurance before I'll allow that to be tackled.

As for dinner, I'm heading to the supermarket to see what they're offering for take-out dinner tonight.
Only guest would be a daughter.

Beautiful day here in Ohio as well.

Enjoy your dinner, then rest well.

wife cuts the peppers into quarters and stuffs each one of those .
I like peppers .. they do not like me.
this way I get the taste of the pepper without
all the problems.

grease a glass dish with butter, preferably cinnamon butter. Cover the bottom with thinly sliced apples. Sprinkle with flour, cinnamon, brown sugar or maple sugar. cover with pork chops, then cover those with the stuffing - we use a name brand pork stuffing, but for this one, instead of water, we make it with apple cider, and a handful of dried cranberries. Pop some aluminum foil over top, into a preheated oven at 375, 50 min or so, remove the foil, give another 5, then out and serve.

Not been getting much done about the house the last few days apart from fighting mice, mainly because I've actually had a wee bit of contract IT work from my last boss, who is trying to get the code base out of mothballs and modify it to use with some other businesses he's doing. So my income for the year is already now in the high 3 figures, and might even get into 4 figures before he runs out of need for me, heh. I'll still be below the poverty line, I'm sure, but it's nice to get any money at all coming in for a change.

My head is stopped up so I have no idea what this is gonna taste like. Cumin, chipotle, some salsa.

It's eat or starve night.
