Canned whole jalapenos, stuffed whole or in halves filled with tuna or shrimp salad or cream cheese with some crumbled bacon and finely minced onion.

You can add some color: Fruit chunks such as pineapple, Carrot sticks, little pickled red beets or red apple slices

celery and carrot sticks are also classic.
The one thing I added to one of mine that brought a lot of compliments, was cabbage core sticks - very spicy, no one could figure out what it was, they always threw it out.

celery sticks. Or carrot sticks. You need a little burst of natural flavor there, amidst all that complexity.

My grandmother used to give them to us when we were kids. Just trim the exposed end off, cut up into sticks if you want, and enjoy.

The midwestern farm thing about never wasting anything. I mean, they even pickled watermelon rind.

They will disappear in a flash. People love them. That's the first thing I would pick up from a relish tray.

My own recipe takes a week to "ripen." This one looks good and is edible within 2 hours: http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2014/12/pickled-mushrooms-from-bar-tartine.html

Everybody else has suggested the olives and radish rose garnish.
