Do you use the Better Homes and Gardens cookbook? 'Sweet rolls' question. (Page 68 in my book)

I have made this recipe for years for the sweet cinnamon rolls, nothing else. I follow the recipe for basic rolls but change their version to make the Cinnamon mixture.

Since I am alone, I make the Cinnamon rolls in 2 "X2" pans and distribute all except 2(fore me)to friends and family. My adaptation makes 9 rolls per pan. Everyone loves them. I do eliminate the powdered sugar icing. No need to add more sugar.

My question: I want to give one full pan worth (9) at a friend who loves them and will be incapacitated for a number of days.
Can she freeze them? I have never frozen them and wonder what changes might take place if they are frozen and defrosted.

My dear friend will be operated on this Wednesday. I will be bringing dinner for her and her husband on Friday. Would like to bring the rolls too.
Would love your opinion. Will the rolls turn intro mush?

I hadn't realized that about a self-defrosting freezer. Thanks for the information. n/t Fortinbras Armstrong Nov 2015 #2

and have frozen them successfully.
I would not freeze any breads in a self defrosting freezer, cause they suck moisture out.
I do have a manual defrosting freezer, and I I divide things up in serving size portions to freeze.

The rolls will freeze fine.
I WOULD let them thaw mostly and then pop them for 30 seconds into the microwave, and they will come out tasting fresh baked.

A thin covering, if I remember correctly, just enough to give the rolls a tangy flavor, not enough to soak them thru much.
