What's for Dinner, Tues., Dec., 15, 2015

My class and I are having a buffet dinner tonight, with everyone bringing something. Elizabeth, NJ (where the class is located) is the empanada capitol of NJ, so we are having lots of empanadas--and all kinds, too. There will be shrimp-chipotle ones. The sauce for them is outrageous, but is it ever hot.

Chicken. I think wings, but not sure if it's confined to that.

In addition, some people are bringing Chinese. The Latino class members said, "We're bringing pork!"

Then, of course, there will the usual chips, dip, sodas. I'm taking a big green chopped salad made from romaine, green onion, carrots, green pepper, radishes, cucumber, and my favorite, tomato chewies, which are roasting right now.

There will be a dessert bar, too, with panettone, brownies, cookies, and cake.

at least eight inches of snow on the ground and it seems perfect. we ordered from a place we hadn't had before and it wasn't bad, but there is better in town.
