Related: About this forumChicken Cacciatore With Mushrooms, Tomatoes and Wine
'This classic Italian dish must have hundreds of versions, all resulting in a rustic braise of chicken, aromatic vegetables and tomatoes. My version includes lots of mushrooms, both dried and fresh. You can add kale to the dish if you want to work in some leafy greens (see variation below).'

(23,156 posts)I recently had some chicken cacciatore -- and I honestly don't think I'd ever had it before -- and was blown away by how good it was. So I'm planning to make some soon. I've been printing recipes off the internet and this is another good one.
Thanks!

(130,974 posts)I used to make SOME chicken cacciatore, will review this one to determine how close it is to my old recipe. MOST of my oldies have been lost.

(130,974 posts)At least my daughters ask me for recipes I remember!
Another baddy: Italian sausage brand I used for years, for an easy family favorite, saus/toms/peppers/pasta, the brand is, apparently, no longer available in ITALIAN! Have tried others, and more
