Prefer it to Hazan's. I don't like nutmeg, and milk in bolognese???

(7,393 posts)I know that's traditional but the red wine in Anne Burrell's recipe gives the bolognese such a deep rich flavor. My family gets super excited when I announce I'm making it!

AND, my (invented) beef stew recipe includes red wine!!!

Similar to mine, maybe a bit more complicated (but for 'my' browning each piece of beef, pain in the neck part,) so maybe I'll try it. I use canned peas, carrots, and jar of pearl onions, with liquids, and add wine to 'stewing' process. ALSO, THYME!
