What's for Dinner, Tues., Aug. 2, 2016

Warm mushroom salad.

Steak with au jus to dip in.

Sweet potato fries.

The warm mushroom salad is insanely good with a fabulous balsamic. The RG came in and caught me using his oldest balsamic and made a remark, but too bad.

It is served over fresh greens. Very simple to make, but so good.

Bliss, pure bliss.

Beyond that, I'm at a loss. But it's still early, so I'll sift through the pantry/fridge for inspiration.

I was going to make a strawberry dipping sauce, but I lack a liqueur that is neccessary, and today I'm too lazy to hit the market.

ps: RG - it's not so much the remark, as it is "the look". You're correct - too bad, otheriwse why would it be in the kitchen?
