Our bumper crop is running strong and yesterday, I resorted to....gulp....adding cottage cheese to the shopping list, in an attempt to consume more tomatoes.
I'm not a big fan of the stuff, so I'll prolly go back to tomato sandwiches in a day or so.

(2,674 posts)So good with cottage cheese and a little fresh cracked pepper. When we had a big garden, we ate ripe tomatoes with our lunch, snacks and dinner. I never tired of them. Have you tried making some gazpacho? A perfect recipe for ripe tomatoes. We have had good luck buying ripe tomatoes at our local market this year. They sell locally grown.
