I was reading somewhere that on those cooking contest shows Bacon is forbidden to be used because it almost guarantees your dish will be picked over any others.

Never appreciated why my mother keep all that bacon grease in a jar in the fridge until just recently when I fried hash browns in bacon grease and some sunny-side eggs.

And my mouth waters, too!

A little bacon fat can go a long ways. Just add a tad to your healthy cooking oil in almost any recipe.
