What's for Dinner, Thurs., Sept. 1, 2016

First course is a few pieces of sushi.

Next up, stuffed portobellos. I'm stuffing them with ground beef, herbs, and cheese.

Side dish is broccoli salad. It has sunflower seeds, raisins, craisins, and a little grated cheddar.

Dessert will be cream puffs.

Drink is Mike's lemonade.

p.s. couldn’t post the daily thread last night. Friend called me and thought she was having a heart attack. Had to rush her to the dr’s. She’s OK, though. Just stress.

No sharp provolone in the house, so I'm using mozzarella. I did make the rolls myself today, and they came out pretty OK in my book (B+). I need to pay better attention to the shape of the dough before going into the oven. I tested one this morning, and the flavor/chewiness/density was very good. And yeah, I hand-kneaded.

Just scorched some poblano peppers for skin/seed/chop. I bought 3 last week, and forgot about 'em. I'll freeze them after the chop, and use them probably in a posole sometime in the near future.

ps: Glad your friend is OK, Cher!
