What's for Dinner, Tues., Sept. 27, 2016

I'm going to be getting some buratta! Yes, four packages, as the RG advised me. So I need to clean out my frig to make room!

Tonight, therefore, is a "clean out the 'frig" night.

I know one thing I'll be having, and that is a salad of asparagus with toasted walnuts and goat cheese.

After that, it will be odds and ends of whatever's in there, trying to get rid of containers.

Dessert will be rice pudding with bananas and whipped cream.

I tried a recipe from my giant Cooks Illustrated book. The glaze included brown sugar, chili garlic sauce, hoisin sauce and fresh ginger. It starts in a pan and then moves to the oven for just ten minutes at 300 degrees. Pretty good. Broccoli, water chestnuts and sprouts on the side.
