What's for Dinner, Sat., April 1, 2017

We've both been very busy today so we're going out tonight to a favorite restaurant from the "old neighborhood." This is a Chinese place that brings in Sichuan chefs as guests. They stay three months and then go back. Anyway, we've already agreed we're going to try our old favorites, which are:

Chinese dumplings
Bang Bang chicken:

It's chicken breast strips in a tall stack, then covered with hoisin sauce and shredded garlic chives
Pork with Jingling Bells (has mushrooms, snow peas, water chestnuts and dumplings (this is the "jingling bell," 'cuz it sizzles)
Heavenly Chicken, which is garlic and ginger in spicy sauce called "chongqing sauce"
Mu Shu Pork

Not really in the mood to cook today, so I'm letting someone else do that for me. There's a nice sushi bar within walking distance, so what the heck.

ps: Cher, that Chinese place sounds awesome!

I needed/wanted to make some chicken stock so part of the leftover meat became tacos.

I had some 3" flour and corn tortillas. Spread some mayo/adobo mix on the tortilla, add the chicken and topped with some bean sprouts. The corn (seared to just a bit crisp) tortillas were much better.
