Spanish Sephardic Charoset

Spanish Sephardic Charoset relies on the local bounty that grows on the Iberian Peninsula. Pears, pistachios, figs and hazelnuts highlight this tapas style charoset. Learn about the history of Sephardic Jews here.

½ cup walnuts
½ cup pistachios

I've always made it with chopped apples, walnuts, golden raisinscinnamon, sugar and a large glug of Manschevitz concord grape wine. I made a huge bowl of it because my kids loved it so much they wanted to make sure we'd have lots left over the next day.

With your recipe, I'd probably eat it all up myself before the Seder meal!

Hubs has a nut allergy as does one other person at our Seder table. I will sub out coconut and roasted sunflower seeds for Hubs.
